Initially, we evaluated Shopify's “Search & Discovery” app, which allows setting filters and configuring search but lacks options for hiding products based on specific criteria. Among alternative solutions, we chose the “Stash” app, which allows products to be manually assigned a “Hide” status, removing them from search results without taking them off the storefront.

The plugin enabled us to hide specific products from the site’s search results while keeping them visible on the storefront. This streamlined the user experience by decluttering search results without impacting product availability on the site.

When searching for any model on the site, users now see only one of the 25 color variations in the search results. All other color options for the model can be selected directly from the product page, providing a more focused and organized search experience.
